1936 Singer Sewing Machine 15-91 Potted Motor Fully Tested Heavy Duty Art Deco

Here is a superb, original, 1936 Singer sewing machine model 15-91 with the super smooth running potted or direct drive motor and beautiful Art Deco scrolled face and cover plates. This machine sewed incredibly smoothly and sewed a perfect stitch top and bottom. This machine bears serial number JB 756206 The 15-91 is a beautiful sewing machine and is heavy duty able to sew fine fabrics and light leather and thick denim. The 15-91 is just an incredible machine and this one is amazing how smoothly, quietly and strongly it runs with that beautiful potted motor hum. This machine has been fully tested to sews a beautiful stitch as seen in my photos. Both top and bottom stitches were perfect. We tested all functions. Bobbin winder works excellently light works with a flick of the switch, tensioner was tested to work correctly, feed dogs drop for embroidery or free motion sewing. Comes complete and ready to use. Has the original pedal controller, power cord, a few bobbins, some attachments. Condition is very good. Decals are intact and a nice deep gold color. Black lacquer paint in in nice shiny condition showing some pre use on the bed. All the nickel plated parts, slide plate, needle plate, front and side covers and hand wheel are in first class condition. This machine is a machine for sewing. Here is a superb, original, 1954 Singer sewing machine model 15-91 with the super smooth running potted or direct drive motor. This machine sewed incredibly smoothly and sewed a perfect stitch top and bottom. This machine bears serial number JD 253156. The 15-91 is a beautiful sewing machine and is heavy duty able to sew fine fabrics and light leather and thick denim. This machine has been fully tested to sews a beautiful stitch as seen in my photos. Both top and bottom stitches were perfect. We tested all functions. Bobbin winder works excellently light works with a flick of the switch, tensioner was tested to work correctly, feed dogs drop for embroidery or free motion sewing and the machine runs extremely smoothly and fast and has that lovely potted motor hum. Comes complete and ready to use. Has the original pedal controller that looks like new, power cord, various attachments and presser feet, bobbins, original manual, a complete button holer. Black enamel is in great shiny condition showing extremely light pre use with hardly a mark to be found. Very shiny black paint is in superb condition! All the lovely gold decals are in excellent intact condition and show bright yellow color. All wiring is in beautiful condition including wiring going into the input terminal. All wiring isbin excellent condition. All the nickel plated parts, slide plate, needle plate, front and side covers and hand wheel are in first class condition. And this machine runs fast, smooth and quiet. This is a beautiful example of the Singer 15-91. We will pack very carefully to ensure a safe arrival. This machine sewed incredibly smoothly and sewed a perfect stitch top and bottom. It has the beautiful Art Deco scrolled face plate and side cover plate. This machine bears serial number JB 007250 The 15-91 is a beautiful sewing machine and is heavy duty able to sew fine fabrics and light leather and thick denim. This machine has been fully tested to sew a beautiful stitch as seen in my photos. The top stitch is pink and the bottom stitch is white. We tested all functions. Bobbin winder works excellently light works with a flick of the switch, tensioner was tested to work correctly, feed dogs drop for embroidery or free motion sewing and the machine runs extremely smoothly and fast and has that lovely potted motor hum. Comes complete and ready to use. Has the original pedal controller that looks like new, nice power cord with excellent wiring, and 5 bobbins. Black enamel is in great shiny condition showing light pre use on the bed. All the lovely gold decals are in excellent intact condition and show bright yellow color. Singer 15-91 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine Sunbrella or Leather to Chifon SERVICED

It has a serial # AK954931, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, over 70 years ago. Description: These were top of the line machines, made from the 1930’s Thur the 1950’s. This model was one of the most sought after model of its day, and has often been described as one of Singers best. They can easily sew heavier fabrics like Sunbrella, upholstery fabrics, light to mid weight leather, as well as sheers etc. They were often seen in tailor shops as an alternative to a large industrial machines and some still are today. The 15 series machines have a straight thread path from the bobbin case and can handle a heavier weight bobbin thread than it’s 201 counter part. This was the most widely imitated machine on the market, after the patent ran out, with numerous clones coming from Japan, China, Germany and elsewhere. 15-91 Specifications: This machine has a heavy cast iron body. It is a Straight stitch machine with full reverse feed and adjustable stitch length. It takes low-shank attachments with easy screw-on feet that are very readily available, using a standard 15×1 sewing machine needle. The potted direct drive motor provides near slip free power and has no belt to replace. It has a longer arm than most domestic machine of this era giving a great area for large or bulky projects approximately 8 ¼” long by 6″ high under the arm. This machine has consistent stitching at any speed. It has a reliable singer rear mounted light. The stitch lengths range is from 6 to 30 stitches per inch and performs flawless. Details: This machine with a serial number of AK954931dates this machine to May 26,1952. It sews just as it should. The shiny jet black finish is in great shape, although not mint with very few dings or pin scratches here and there. The decals are also very nice and quite near complete. The appearance of the machine is bright and shiny. This machine has been cleaned, covers removed, gears lubed and moving parts oiled. The foot pedal has been cleaned and wiring checked, and the motor greased. It was professionally tuned and sew tested. This machine uses standard 15×1 needles and 15 class side load bobbins. Be sure to use the right needle size and point shape for the fabric you are sewing. A nice original set of attachments are included in original green box. Included: Manual Adjustable rufflier Multi-slotted binder adjustable hemmer (blackside) edge stitcher Narrow hemmer gathering foot Adjustable cording / Zipper foot Small Screwdriver and to get you started Extra bobbins Original singer size 14 needle pack of 3 Oil bottle Needles: Be sure to use the right hemmer needle for the material being sewn.
