Singer 401A sewing machine. & cream color model, slant shank, sews a wonderful straight stitch, perfect for quilting. DIRECT GEAR DRIVEN NO BELTS TO SLIP OR ADJUST. Made in USA 1958 to 1960. This machine is in very good condition and comes complete with foot control, power cord, & working light. It has been cleaned, lubricated, and sews forward & reverse very well, patterns tested, sample enclosed see picture. The cords and plugs and the foot controller are in very good condition. The machine has a 2 prong receptacle for POWER use if machine is installed in a cabinet & 2 pronged receptacle for the foot controller. Smoother stitching with direct drive, no belt gear-driven, lockstitch machine. Stitches limited only to the pattern cams available & numerous settings built in the machine. Just set the double dial on the machine or insert a pattern disc, 5 included. View settings for built in patterns under cover on top of machine.
