Has straight stitch and zig zag, as well as ability for darning, free motion work / embroidery, appliques, etc with the turn of a knob. Zipper foot and Singer circular stitching attachment included (and a printed copy of the instructions for it). Also included is the needle cover plate (for embroidery, darning, free motion work) and a little needle threader tool. She sews a wide variety of materials, including canvas, leather and denim, and also lighter weight dressmaking materials. Comes with power cord, foot pedal control, needles, bobbins and bobbin case. Electric cords are soft and pliable, ready for years of use to come. A hard working, sturdy, heavy duty machine – with all metal construction. Adjustments for stitch lengths, pressure and tension. 8 amp Singer motor. Motor made in Canada. This is a standard size machine, which will fit in most carrying cases and sewing tables / cabinets. The base is 6 7/8″ x 14 1/2″ (after removing the extension piece near the hand wheel, if needed). The holes for the hinges / posts are 9 5/8 apart at the centers of the holes. Our Singer sewing machine consultant worked for Singer for YEARS. He verified that this is a heavy duty machine, good for sewing denim, leather, etc for personal projects or as a cottage industry (not in industrial amounts).
