You are viewing a Vintage Olympia 1960s/1970s Heavy Duty Manual Office Typewriter Machine. This was found in the attic of my home. This typewriter was made in Germany and was used at a Las Vegas, NM JCPenney. As shown in the images, there are some signs of wear. However, it seems to be working at the time of testing. Fully tested, cleaned and lubricated. Heavy duty Elgin S1112 Zig-Zag machine. All metal gears, perfect for heavy duty fabrics. Comes from a smoke free house. 30 discs cams are included. This is really an awesome heavy solid 40 lbs beast. Very heavy so it won’t be moving around when you are sewing. The machine is built by Standard Sewing Equipment Corporation under its own patents. Private Labeled “Elgin” a registered trade mark. Machine has 30 cams to provide 90 different stitches. It can be used as a zig-zag or straight stitch. There is a thread tension control on the front, a stitch length selector also on the front, a control to raise and lower the presser foot handily located on the front. The needle position control lever is top-front. There is a reversing button on the front where you can go from forward to reverse. They don’t make them like this anymore.
