With a fully automatic one-step buttonhole feature, you can add buttonholes to pants, shirts, jackets, and more. Most basic sewing machines feature a front-loading bobbin, which can be tricky to install. The Singer HD4423 features a top drop-in bobbin; drop your bobbin in and go! After winding the bobbin, drop it in, run the thread through the groove, and the machine will do the rest. The bobbin and bobbin cover are transparent, allowing you to consistently see the remaining thread, so you never run out in the middle of your project. Use the drop feed feature behind the free arm for free motion quilting and button sewing. You control the fabric’s direction while sewing by dropping the feed dogs. Access the free arm by removing the storage compartment. This narrow arm is the perfect size to fit sleeves and pant legs over for hemming. This removable compartment doubles as an accessory tray. Extra High Presser Foot Lift. Conveniently located on the front of the Singer HD4423 are two dials: Stitch Selection and Stitch Length. The Stitch Width dial is located on top of the machine.
