This is my own design. Heavy duty Singer commercial sewing machine converted to household machine with powerful 1.5 amp motor. I select old style Elna, Bernina, Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking sewing machines and refurbish them meticulously. I replace old plastic broken gears with new ones and I totally service each machine including oiling, greasing, and setting timing, and cleaning. The refurbishing process may involve touch up paint on some places. In addition, if I find crack in plastic covers I super glue them, apply touch up paint and sand them to look great. This particular fine example is industrial Singer sewing machine converted to household sewing machine with powerful motor. The large pulley reduces the speed of machine by factor 1.5. This means the torque at hand-wheel will increase by factor 1.5. The motor becomes equivalent of 225 Watts motor! Very powerful to punch through. This machine punches very strong. I sew 24 oz leather with authority. Machine didn’t even feel it. The needle penetrates with ease. I applied black color to machine. This is a unique machine with industrial grade performance. New foot pedal included. The needle is DBX-1 with commercial bobbin and bobbin case (included). Note: these are long arm commercial machines. Very heavy and stable. Fabulous 1950s Mason Sewing Machine Zigzag Heavy Duty Tested Sews Amazing
Here is a fabulous, unique, original 1950s zigzag sewing machine manufactured in Canada by The Mason sewing machine company that is still making machines today in Vancouver BC. This machine has such a fabulous retro look with all the cool chrome and lovely colour schemes. It does look fantastic but the best thing about this machine is the superior quality, this machine is precision made, was made to the highest standards and as you can see by the stitches in my photo that I sewed they are the tightest stitches of any machine I have tested. The motor runs as smooth as silk, made in Holland, and it has a new belt. It was extremely easy to thread up and sewed right away the beautiful stitches in my photo, so easy to change stitch length and changes to zigzag with a push of the chrome lever. The feed dogs have three settings and are controlled by the chrome knob on the right side on the bed, you can do normal straight stitching, silk, or embroidery. Comes complete and ready to use, with the controller, original button holer in its case, 18 class 15 bobbins in a nice case, bobbin case, 6 different presser feet, and a few other attachments. Mechanical condition is superb, runs as smooth as the day it was made and sews fantastic, cosmetically it is also very very good, only a little paint loss on the sewing side of the bed, all chrome and badges are all in great shape! If you are looking for a cool retro machine that sews as good as any machine out there this is a great one. This is an all steel machine with steel gears to last so is very heavy and precision made.
